It goes without saying that you should always use the parts designed specifically for your model. Don’t risk having your warranty voided by not keeping up with the terms. If you want to err on the side of caution, you also have the option of getting extra coverage through Yamaha Extended Service. Just like the limited warranty, though, the service that falls under this extension can only be performed by an official Yamaha dealer. Several plans are available, ranging from one year to three years, and they are worth looking into. It may seem like an unnecessary expense— but remember, the more protection against big repairs, the more peace of mind.
